Recycling in Life Class: Art Room--Ghillie Suits

Students in Life Class (Explore) are using recycled old fabric/clothes to make paintball suits--2 jackets and 2 pants.
They are learning how to thread a needle, take stitches, loop and tie rags, meet new friends, and work together in small groups! They have worked extremely hard and kept each other on task, taking turns and working well.

A ghillie suit is a type of camouflage outfit designed to resemble heavy foliage. Typically, it is a net or cloth garment covered in loose strips of cloth or twine, sometimes even made to look like leaves and twigs. People may wear a ghillie suit to blend into their surroundings when they feel it is important for them to camouflage and hide themselves from paintball enemies or their targets. The suit gives the wearer's outline a three-dimensional breakup, rather than a linear one.
